How remiss of me!
The last blog I uploaded, about what I've been up to lately missed the fact that I have been selling work at an emporium in Christchurch....
Bristol Museum and Art Gallery
"I decided to clean and organise our fridge. I was pleased with my efforts. My husband then returned from the supermarket and crammed extra items on top. This annoyed me! However, I felt like it had potential for a painting.
After serving twenty years as a mental health nurse, I quit in lockdown. Mainly for health reasons and also I yearned to get back to being creative. Painting is a good way to focus. I am pleased that I started this new chapter."
During the Easter Holidays, I travelled up to Bristol with my family and finally saw my Fridge painting in the Museum/Art Gallery. I felt very proud.
The piece was getting quite a bit of attention. To make it extra special, it's sharing gallery space with Grayson and Philippa Perry's work. Also, Banksy, Harry Hill, Mawaan Rizwaan, Andy Goldsworthy, Boy George, Holly Walsh, Russell Tovey, David Bailey, Anneka Rice, plus of course, many other talented artists who submitted work and were chosen in the channel 4 programme.
